Woodlands of Hertford is firmly established as one of the leading manufacturers and suppliers of fitted furniture in Hertfordshire. Based at our factory showroom in Ware, we primarily provide kitchen and bedroom furniture to local clients, delivering bespoke workmanship of the highest possible standard. Our History
Our company was founded in early 1983, due to the owner’s disenchantment with the general bulk standard, often average quality, and poorly installed furniture that seemed to be classed as acceptable. Understanding that quality and value for money could be so much better, he established Woodlands of Hertford.
Opening a workshop enabled our team to have much greater control over the quality of manufacturing and the standard of fitting. We originally operated from a series of old barns before relocating to new premises in Caxton Hill, Hertford in 1990. In 2014, our hugely successful business relocated to our current factory showroom in Ware.
Today, we have the skills and experience to keep up with the ever-changing world of kitchen and bedroom manufacturing. We look at new materials, accessories, and components as they come on the market so that we are ideally placed to advise on quality and value for money for our loyal clients.

And one of our more unusual projects – creating antiqued, aged solid oak units for a church from new, with the challenge of matching surroundings that were more than a hundred years old. This included new and complex individual stained-glass leaded lights, to match the main church window!
